Just climbed 4,400 feet to the top of Blood Mountain, Ga. There's a beautiful 360 degree view from top. The decent was more technical than we anticipated so we stopped at Neels Gap for the night. BJ has bypassed the moleskin and the medical tape for his blisters and moved to duck tape. I might be there tomorrow. Neels Gap has a great General Store full of hiking gear. They do a great job going through your pack to help you lighten your load, but we're sticking with what we have for now. Bought two hot showers and a load of laundry for $10 and now hanging out for the chow that is served by donation at 7pm. Neither of us has had much of an appetite so far, but rumor has it that it will set in on week two. Maybe just in time for our feet to heal. Looks like 37 miles to Hiawasse,Ga (with a 10-mile hitchhike). See you there!
