A few days after Christmas Shadow and the RV headed South. At 55mph it was a slow and stressful drive. He quickly learned the way of a semi-truck driver with free parking at truck stops. I was waiting at my parents house for my orders from work on New Years Eve when I received a phone call from Shadow. He was in Gainesville, FL on the side of the interstate with a blown out tire. He limped off the road and called Good Sams. They installed the spare only to find that the spare was bad too. After calling around the area, he found one place that would sell and install the RV’s new tires. While adding new tires he fixed the refrigerator that at the time would not work on propane. For those of you that aren’t RV owners, a fridge usually works on propane and electricity. I called a Double Check. A friend of ours from the Appalachian Trail that lives in Gainesville, FL and he then called Shadow and invited him and Judy to his house to the night. After adding $750 in new tires, Double Check, his wife, and Shadow rang in the new year with some homebrews and a hot tub.

It's awesome to see Double-Check, but I barely recognize him without his trail beard! And if you're reading this: Hi, Double-Check!
