January 16th-19thWe finished our sailing trip in time to met my sister Haley and her boyfriend Mike at our new RV location on Fiesta Key, FL. They decided to visit us for a couple weeks. I was a little nervous about the 4 of us plus Judy our dog in an RV for that long, but we had a great time. Our new location had a palm tree with coconuts. After an unsuccessful attempt by Haley to climb the tree, she grabbed one of Shadow’s golf clubs and Mike whacked the fruit down. Is a coconut a fruit or a nut? Anyways, our days were spent paddleboarding, and taking turns making dinner. We discovered a great beach on Marathon called Sombrero Beach and taught Judy to ride on one of the boards. She liked it so much that if we left her on shore, she would bark. Another day was spent in Key West, FL where Shadow and I took them to our favorite restaurant, Rick's Blue Heaven. In typical island style, the seating for the restaurant is in the backyard of a house and the house is the kitchen where that make awesome fresh bread. With live music, wild chickens for Judy to stalk, and ping pong table, we were all happy. So far the weather has been perfect Warm enough to wear shorts and cool enough to have the windows open in the RV.Shadow’s mother called and told us she had a dream about our RV. It was from that dream that we named our RV Beulah. Our 3 weeks on the beach was coming to the end, so we decided to leave the Keys and head up the West coast of Florida. Next stop was a visit to our god-parents, Nora and Mike.
