On the Road Again

June 25 Mile 1025 - We are back! Our 9 days of traveling was full of great food and wonderful memories with family. We hit Harpers Ferry around lunch and headed out. After thinking I would starve to death our last week on the trail, I overfilled our food bags. 10 miles was our distance today. We wanted to make our re-entry a little easier. The trail welcomed us back with a relatively flat course, which helped us immensely. Our extra heavy packs crushed our feet into the ground. We awkwardly and painfully made good time to camp. Our bodies are exhausted. Getting back into the swing of things may be harder than we originally thought.
Testing a new sleeping pad tonight since mine started leaking the night we got off the trail.
Lyme disease seems to be the "in" thing right now. We have heard that Maryland is a hot bed for ticks. The symptoms are fatigue, joint pain, and muscle stiffness. Judging by those descriptions, I have had Lyme's disease since March!
Spoke to California last week and he is doing great. The time he has off from work is being filled with more great adventures.
