Day 26 - BJ choked down two Ensures and we started hitching back to the trail. After walking 1 1/2 miles to the visitor center, we got a ride. Our first stop was three miles to Ice Water Shelter. Flute surprised us there. She had stayed the past 3 nights at the hike-in only Mt. LeConte Lodge and spent the rest of the day hiking with us. BJ was a trooper today. We hiked 10.5 miles to Pecks Shelter. I would have milked the food poisoning for one more night in a hotel. He ate a few bites of mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, and a cup of hot chocolate. It's going to be a long 20 more miles to the next hostel if he doesn't start eating. It's the worst feeling being sick on vacation

Hey Lnor!!! Can't wait to see you again. We had a blast in Gatlinburg. Tell California that we miss him and hope he is doing well.
