July 27 Mile 1429-
We hit camp last night just before the next storm. We hung the food and our packs, jumped in tent, and waited for the rain to quit before starting to cook. The rain didn't quit so it was a protein bar for dinner. By morning the storms had pasted and we were starving. The sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky. A cool 67 degrees got the day going to a great start. We felt great and busted out 19 miles. Today was one of those days where everything synced. The terrain was challenging as usual, but enjoyable. Made it to Morgan Stewart Shelter around 6:30pm, which is our daily goal time to finish. Setup camp and off to bed around 8:30 for our groundhog day tomorrow.
